Preparation (for Newcomers mainly)
To prepare yourself properly have a look at CMSprintPreparation. We only have three days for doing interesting stuff. So set up your machines properly before the sprint.
Please, if possible, bring german multiple outlet strips (in German: Mehrfachsteckdose) and ethernet cables/ wifi-cards.
Subversion/CVS Write Access
Since the main exercise is porting Zope2 products and/or writing new cool Zope3 products, access to the ZC Subversion/CVS Repository is not strictly necessary. Your Zope2 products which you would like to port may already reside in a public repository (such as sourgeforge). If not, a local subversion or CVS repository can always be set up.
However, if the end product shall be imported into ZC's zopeproducts
repository, writable Subversion/CVS access is necessary. Also, for fixes in Zope3
core, CVS write-access to the ZC repository can be very handy.
In order to give Zope Corp. time setting up permissions for your access you have to sign your contributor agreement in advance and either fax or email a scanned image of the signed agreement to Jim (jim at zope.org) asap so you can be set up before the sprint.
The original still needs to be turned in. XXX can we collect the originals at the sprint and mail them to F12g in one package?

- Basic content objects as we know them form CMFDefault? (Document, News Item, Event etc.)
- Other simplistic content objects.
- Analyze the NewsSite? product. Port it to Zope 3 head if it is still usable. If not, maybe someone is interested to do an alternative implementation from scratch.
- Skin with an old-browser compatible static tree navigation instead of the Javascript XML tree.

That should be fine, as long as we identify the responsible party ahead of time. That person should collect the hardcopy at the start of the sprint, if possible, and have blank copies of the form available in case people lose theirs.

Given Jim's recent statement about zopeproducts directory, I heartily discourage putting products in there. Encourage a more sensible package structure.
